Becoming a resident of nc: what can i use to prove that I lived in the state for a year required for college?

i just moved to NC from the DMV area and im trying to register for classes what can i use to prove that ive resided in this state for aleast a year help in any way is appreciated thank you in advance|||A copy of your initial rental contract for your housing or utilities bill with the necessary date on it should do the trick..
