A bill came in the mail for $250 from the NC DMV because i was over 4 months late getting my vehicle inspected. I had completely forgot. is there ANY way i can get this charge taken away?How to get out of paying late inspection fine?
No. The DMV will get their money when you pay the $250. Unfortunately, there is no way to not pay it, if you want to drive the vehicle legally. Even if you do not pay it, they will make you pay it, even if they go through collections, or garnish your wages. If you don't pay, they will tack it on to any other vehicle you try to license.
