Normally, a few minutes, plus waiting in line at the DMV. Since a picture needs to be taken and installed on the card, it should be very quick. Hope your State doesn't mail it to you.How long does it take to get a ID card from the dmv?

Those wheels turn slow and maybe one to two weeks, however they will give
you a paper temporary one at most DMV's...
In Washington State, it's 3 minutes or so...
