Can you order a specialized license plate and keep the original license plate in NC?
I recently received a specialized license plate as a gift but I already have a license plate currently on my vehicle. Do I have to return my original license plate to the DMV in NC or am I able to keep both license plates and use just one at my discretion?|||No,no,no. Car registrations are issued with one specific license plate. You have a specialized one and the vehicle registration should have been updated. The original plate is just disposed or you can keep it as a souvenir ( that is French for remembrance or memories). Also dispose of the old car registration that shows the old car tag. OK? Any specific questions like this one about cars can be answered by the DMV in your city, region. OK? I also am recommending that all drivers please use turn signals for all lane changes, turns, entry/exits to Interstates, etc. The usual distance required by law is 100 ft prior to the turns. For merging into Interstates do it early. Too many wait until the merge point. Best of luck and be sure to have all the required paperwork when you drive. Best of luck.
